What are Frankie’s Smokehouse’s opening hours?
Frankie’s Smokehouse is open 7 days. Monday to Thursday, we’re open for lunch from 11:30am to 2pm and dinner from 5pm to 9:30pm (kitchen closes 8:30pm). Friday is all-day dining from 11:30am to 10pm (kitchen closes 9pm), Saturday from 11am to 10:30pm (kitchen closes 9:30pm) and Sunday from 11am to 9:30pm (kitchen closes 8:30pm).
What kind of BBQ does Frankie’s serve?
Frankie’s Smokehouse serves Texas-style, low n’ slow BBQ in Woolloongabba, Brisbane. Our meats are smoked daily on Frankenstein, our 8.5 m smoker, using aged ironbark, and our brisket is smoked for 12 hours. All of our sauces are made in-house every week.
Where is the best place to park?
Best street parking is available on Reid Street & Hawthorne Street.
Where is the best place to park on game days at the Gabba?
Best parking is still Reid Street & Hawthorne Street pending the day of the event of the Gabba. The days and times displayed on metered parking spots overrides Gabba Traffic parking restrictions. If you are visiting outside of the times displayed on the sign and there is an event at the Gabba, all parking turns to 15 minute parking in Reid Street and Hawthorne Street (only from top of Reid street down towards Ipswich Road).
Best parking when outside of metered time zones on Gabba Event days, is Hawthorne Street (overpass back towards the hospital), Merton Road & Trinity Lane.

Where do I catch or pick up an Uber or taxi from?
Always get the driver to either drop or meet you in Reid Street for the safest pick up and drop off zone.
Where are you located?
Our restaurant is located at 719 Stanley Street, Woolloongabba, Brisbane. We are just a 400m walk from the Gabba Cricket Grounds and 17 minute walk from Southbank (1.2km).
Do I need to book?
We always highly recommend booking in advance, especially on Friday & Saturday nights as these are our busiest nights. You can book your next visit by clicking on the link below.
Can I bring a cake?
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring a cake for your birthday celebration. We do charge a $3 cakeage fee per person, however we place the cake onto one of our cake plates, provide a knife, napkins, spoons, side plates and candles. Also if the cake requires refrigeration, we are more than happy to put it in the fridge while you eat.
Are you pet friendly?
Yes, our outside Pit Stop area is pet friendly, however our outside area is also weather dependant. Please check the weather or call us on (07) 3212 1100 to see if the outside area is open for bookings. If you are calling on a Friday or Saturday night and you have not booked ahead, please call us to see if we have availability.
Please note: the Backyard Bullpen area is not pet friendly, it is just our Pit Stop area.
Can I book the outside area?
Due to our outside area being weather dependant, we only open this area 24-48 hours out from service. If you prefer to have a table outside, please add this to the comments of your booking and we will move your booking outside should the weather allow it and pending availability.
Is Frankie’s Smokehouse gluten free? Do you cater for coeliacs?
Yes! Most of the Frankie’s Smokehouse menu is naturally gluten free. Our smoked meats are seasoned with just salt, pepper and mustard, and our fries and most sides are gluten free too. We can also swap the bread roll for a gluten-free tortilla with your plate or platter.
The following items are NOT gluten free:
– Bread rolls, including the crusty bread served with the tallow candle
– Mac n’ cheese
– Hot honey
– Biscoff key lime pie and pecan pie
– The potato bun in our kids meal
– Our lunch specials burgers, hot dogs, chilli dogs and sandwiches (Cubano, Reuben and smoked turkey)Items containing gluten are marked with an asterisk (*) on our menus. If you’re coeliac or need a gluten-free meal, please let us know when you order. Our kitchen team will change their gloves and prepare your order separately to prevent cross-contamination. Can I order ribs, plates and platters at lunch?
Yes. The full Frankie’s Smokehouse menu is available whenever we’re open, including at lunch, so you can order ribs, beef short rib, plates and platters. Monday to Thursday from 11:30am to 2pm, you can also choose from our lunch specials menu, including the brisket cheeseburger, sandwiches, hot dogs and the Lunch Banquet.
Is Frankie’s licensed or BYO?
We are a licensed venue with a large selection of craft beer to suit all taste buds, along with a great wine selection & spirits. Our wine list features various Queensland wines, curated by wine master Peter Scudamore-Smith.
Do you do split bills?
We are a full table service restaurant and we do one bill per table with the maximum of 4 splits per table.
We do have QR codes on the tables for drinks only, so if everyone would like to buy their own drinks they can use the QR codes, otherwise everything just goes onto the one bill
Do you take large group bookings?
Yes we do! We can do large groups up to 35 people. Should you wish to look at hiring our venue exclusively, please contact us to discuss options.
Do you do takeaway?
Yes! Order online for pickup from our Woolloongabba restaurant through the in-store pickup button on our Takeaway page, or call us on (07) 3212 1100. We’re also on Uber Eats and DoorDash for delivery.

Frankenstein is our custom-built 8.5 m smoker, one of the biggest in Brisbane. You’ll find her on show next to our outdoor Pit Stop area. She’s lit before sunrise every day and does all the heavy lifting on our brisket, pork, ribs and hotlinks.
How much meat can you fit in Frankenstein?
This is a very common question for us. We worked it out that you could fit in the smoker roughly 70-80 briskets at roughly 8kg’s each. Now whilst we haven’t tested this, we also don’t want to see that meat bill either! HaHa!

What is the Death by Food Coma platter?
Death by Food Coma is our biggest platter: over 4kg of meat for $530. It includes 12-hour smoked brisket, pulled pork, beef short rib, a full rack of pork ribs, 6 hotlinks and chicken wings, plus loads of sides and sauces. It feeds up to 6 hungry people, or 2 if you’re up for the challenge. It’s not available if the ribs sell out, and no alterations are possible.
What is The Frankenstein platter?
Named after our smoker, The Frankenstein is a $349 platter that feeds 3 to 4 people. It comes with 600g of brisket, 600g of pulled pork, 4 hotlinks and a beef short rib, plus your choice of 4 sauces and 4 sides.
What should I order on my first visit?
Start with our tallow candle and corn bread to share ($25), then go for the Platter for One ($78) or Platter for Two ($148). Both come loaded with 12-hour brisket, pulled pork and our house-made hotlinks, plus coleslaw, pickles, jalapeños, BBQ sauce and fries.
Do you have a kids menu?
Yes! Our kids meal is $20 for kids 12 and under. It comes with brisket, pulled pork or chicken on a potato bun with cheese and fries, plus a kids activity pack. Kids ice cream is $9. Need a gluten-free option for the kids? Just ask.
What are your lunch specials?
Monday to Thursday from 11:30am to 2pm, enjoy our lunch specials alongside the full menu. Choose from a brisket cheeseburger with fries ($27), hot dogs ($10, or 2 for $18), chilli dogs ($13), or our Cubano ($27), Reuben ($32) and smoked turkey ($29) sandwiches.
There’s also the Lunch Banquet for $85pp (minimum 2 people). It includes 12-hour brisket, pulled pork, smoked wings, onion rings, chips, zesty corn, coleslaw and your choice of 3 sauces.
What is the Bottomless Lunch?
Our Bottomless Lunch runs every weekday, Monday to Friday. It’s a 2-hour BBQ feast for $99pp. Start with our tallow candle and corn bread, then dig into a platter of brisket, pulled pork, wings, corn, chips and coleslaw. Drinks include tap beer, a selection of 20 different wines, soft drink and juice. You’ll need a minimum of 2 people, and the whole table must take part. Available Monday to Thursday 11:30am until 2pm and Friday 11:30am until 4pm. Bookings are highly recommended.
Can I hold a function or Christmas party at Frankie’s?
Absolutely. Frankie’s Smokehouse hosts birthdays, farewells, baby showers, corporate events and Christmas parties. We can seat groups of up to 35, and exclusive venue hire is available too. Email us or fill out our online enquiry form to get started.
Are you open on Gabba game days?
Yes! Frankie’s is just 400m from the Gabba, so it’s the closest BBQ for your pre-game or post-game feed. Game days book out fast, so we recommend booking ahead. Check our events page for any special game-day hours.
Do you do catering?
Yes! Order our smoked meats, sides and self-catering packs through our online shop, ready for hot or cold pickup from Woolloongabba. Packs start from $15pp and suit groups of 4 to 40 or more. We need notice on all catering orders, so order early.
Can I buy your sauces, rubs, merch or gift cards?
Yes! Our house-made sauces, rubs, merch and gift cards are all available through our online shop and website. Gift cards are delivered by email, so they make a great last-minute present.
